Biosafety Field Service Technician I- Mid-Atlantic US

Reports To:
This position reports to the Biosafety Account Manager for the Mid-Atlantic territory.
Territory:
This position is field based with roughly 90% travel within the Mid-Atlantic territory.
Schedule:
Full time, Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week, with occasional weekend work. Overnight travel required.

The Role
Spend your week in the field, not at a desk. As a Biosafety Field Service Technician I, you will travel the Mid-Atlantic servicing, repairing, and installing biosafety equipment at research, pharmaceutical, and food production facilities, with occasional trips anywhere in the continental US for installations and training. You will be the hands on problem solver our clients count on, and the eyes and ears that help your Biosafety Account Manager grow the territory. It is a strong launchpad: we train you on our technology, our products, industry trends, and sales techniques.

What You'll Do
Service and Repair
- Diagnose, repair, and provide preventative maintenance and technical support at current and prospective client facilities
- Respond to emergency service calls within the territory
- Complete on-site system audits and evaluations
- Assist with equipment installations, occasionally nationwide
Clients and Territory Growth
- Deliver high-touch service that builds client satisfaction and the company's reputation in the Mid-Atlantic
- Investigate complaints, identify resolutions, and recommend improved operating techniques and system upgrades
- Spot sales opportunities and pass them to your Biosafety Account Manager; support leads, proposals, and bids
- Gather intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity
- Collaborate with internal product and service experts as they present, propose, and deliver solutions
Reporting and Safety
- Complete service and equipment inspection reports for clients, plus field reports covering all on-site time and work
- Submit expense reports on time
- Practice and adhere to best safety and training practices
What You'll Need
- 2+ years of mechanical experience, ideally with some basic electrical and electronic knowledge (technical school may substitute for experience)
- A knack for identifying, diagnosing, and correcting operational issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort working directly with clients
- Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays
Nice to Have
- Technical school or college degree
- Experience in the science, research, or animal care industry
- Customer service experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint)
Travel
At least 90% of your time is spent traveling within the Mid-Atlantic territory during the business week, including overnight stays. Occasional travel to any state in the continental US may be required for training and installations, and additional travel is possible at the discretion of the Executive Management Committee.
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain respirator fit testing, annual MMR titers, and annual TB tests
- Ability to complete pre-employment assessments, including a physical, a 50 lb lift/carry test, and a drug screen
Physical Requirements and PPE
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects, including occasional lifting and horizontal movement
- Potential exposure to chemicals that can irritate the nasal passages, eyes, and respiratory system
- Material handling that requires the movement and manipulation of products and equipment
- PPE worn on customer sites as required: safety glasses (minimum), splash goggles, face shield, nitrile gloves, nuisance-odor disposable respirators, chemically resistant apron, protective clothing, and at times a full-face respirator

Warehouse Support Specialist

This position reports to the Director of Warehouse Operations
Position Description:

We are looking for a new team member to join our warehouse team who is eager to assist with a wide variety of critical warehouse functions including: shipping and receiving, production, and bottling and packing and who is eager to grow within the organization and create a career with us. Our unique technology, experienced biosafety account management team, decontamination expertise, and extensive product line make us an industry leader in the biosafety and research industries.
The Warehouse Support Specialist is a full-time position that helps ensure that the daily functions and procedures of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have some basic mechanical knowledge, previous experience in a warehouse environment, and/or basic forklift operation experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tablet packing to support the consistent stock level of needed MB-10 and Vimoba Tablets
- Pump cases for shipment
- Perform warehouse duties including receiving, staging, loading, unloading, inventory support, and general material organization
- Work on bottling line as needed and pump chemical for all types of orders (freight, ground, and Quip deliveries)
- Oversee the cleaning, washing, and recertification of returned and reusable poly drums
- Help maintain the cleanliness and disinfection of the restrooms, kitchen, office, and laboratory facilities
- Ensure a clean, neat, and safe environment in the warehouse
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines
- Follow established company rules, regulations, and safety precautions
- Consistently maintain high-quality standards
- Assist with warehouse organization and janitorial duties
- Attend forklift training and use forklifts as needed to move pallets and drums
- Willing to become trained as a backup Hazmat shipper and to become trained and knowledgeable in FedEx, ODFL, and UPS shipping
- Willing to become trained as a backup for chemical production
Qualifications:
- Experience with general warehouse duties including shipping, operating forklifts, and stocking products
- Experience with chemical products, bulk transfers, or related field service work, preferred
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and attention to detail
- Team player able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Able to meet the physical demands of warehouse work
Position Classification:
This is a full-time position reporting to Quip Labs HQ at 1500 Eastlawn Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19802. Hours are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
PPE Requirements May Involve Any of the Following:

Additional Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving of materials and equipment
- Ability to perform manual transfer tasks using pumps, hoses, and related equipment
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a hot and dusty environment (safety PPE provided)
- Able to wear required safety PPE including a full-face respirator, if required
- Able to pass a standard background check, drug screen, and physical for respirator clearance
- Must have a drive to succeed and grow within the company
