Happy Independence Day!
F. Scott Fitzgerald once famously wrote, “Show me a hero, and I’ll write you a tragedy.”
As the world slowly begins to return to normalcy and we look back on the last eighteen months, it’s clear that there were tragedies. Many Americans lost jobs, family members, opportunity, and hope. The pandemic not only affected the health of millions of Americans and our collective psyche, but also shook our sense of safety and further divided many of us over how to react.
Despite that, the last year and a half has shown us amazing stories of kindness, bravery, and perseverance. We have seen it globally, but it’s been especially evident amongst our customers. This Independence Day, we’d like to thank you for your fortitude and determination in the face of a global pandemic. We’ve watched research facilities turn into PPE disinfection units, EMS organizations completely overhaul their disinfection protocols, and food production plants work tirelessly to ensure that COVID-19 did not destroy our sense of food security as a nation. Quip Labs has been so proud to support all of these efforts, and we will continue to do our best to provide for the markets we serve now and in the future.
F. Scott Fitzgerald may have been able to find the tragedy in heroes, but what’s more important this Fourth of July are those of you who have stood up to our common tragedies and written your own heroic stories. Time and again one thing remains clear; If you write America a tragedy, we’ll show you a hero.
