ViveSecure | Biofilm Removing Disinfecting Cleaner

Skip to a section:

Biofilm Can Increase the Pathogenesis of Diseases, and Change How Hereditary Diseases Present.

Not only that, but the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that 65% of all bacterial infections are associated with biofilm formation, and close proximity of the bacteria allows for horizontal gene transfer to spread resistance as well. That’s why we’ve worked with our friends at Sterilex to introduce ViveSecure. Designed to kill and remove biofilm and prevent cross-contamination, we are extremely excited to be able to exclusively offer Sterilex’s patented PerQuat technology to the life sciences industry.

ViveSecure 100 and ViveSecure 200 are a two-part system, easily mixed together with our Gemini Mixing Station at time of use to create a liquid disinfectant based on patented PerQuat® technology. When used in accordance with the directions for use, ViveSecure 100 and ViveSecure 200 penetrate and remove biofilms, killing 99.9999% of the bacteria* living in the biofilm.

  • EPA-registered product approved to disinfect surfaces, kill biofilm bacteria as well penetrate and remove biofilm*
  • Not formulated with phosphates or VOCs
  • Compatible with wastewater systems
  • Eliminates microbial “hot spots” using a chemical scrubbing action
  • Effective on food contact surfaces, environmental surfaces and drains
  • Broad spectrum killing ability

Vive offers Biosecurity Solutions for Biofilm Removal

Biofilm plays a major role in the pathogenesis of disease. That’s because bacterial biofilms create massive breeding grounds for pathogenic bacteria like E. coli. Additionally, the presence of biofilm can also be linked to a severe disease prognosis, meaning that in the presence of large amounts of biofilm, hereditary illnesses like cystic fibrosis can present with more severe prognoses than they might otherwise. That’s why it’s so important to remove biofilm from the surfaces of your facility.

Why Remove Biofilm:

Increased pathogenesis for bacteria like E. coli
⚪ Differences in prognoses of hereditary diseases
⚪ Wasted time tracking down biofilm-related diseases
⚪ Effects on biofilm- or plaque-related research
⚪ Inconsistent test results

What's the Active Ingredient of the Vive Products?

The primary active ingredient in our ViveSecure and ViveStep is Sterilex’s patented PerQuat® technology.

It has the unique ability to penetrate the biofilm, collapse the protective matrix, kill pathogenic microorganisms (such as Listeria, E. coli, Salmonella, and Pseudomonas), and chemically scrub the structure from a surface.

The active ingredients in PerQuat technology are based on quaternary ammonium compounds (commonly referred to as quat) and Hydrogen Peroxide. The primary role of quat is to serve as a phase transfer agent, combining with the peroxide ion to form a “PerQuat” molecule. This synergistic combination gives Sterilex products their unique ability to kill and remove biofilm and provides a powerful level of performance through multiple physical and chemical mechanisms of action, including hydrolysis and oxidation. PerQuat-based products are available in solid or liquid form.

What are the Storage and Disposal Directions?

Storage and Disposal: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
Pesticide Storage: Open dumping is prohibited. Store in original container in areas inaccessible to children.
