Pri-Mate Safe Foam is a high-foaming alkaline cleaner engineered specifically for heavy organic soiling and tough residues in primate environments.

The thick foam clings to vertical surfaces—walls, cages, equipment—rather than running off immediately, which gives the alkaline chemistry time to actually break down the organic buildup instead of just passing over it. Standard facility cleaners weren't designed for what NHP facilities actually deal with. Pri-Mate Safe Foam is formulated specifically for the proteinaceous soil profiles, heavily-soiled surfaces, and operational conditions unique to primate research — not repurposed from industrial cleaning applications.

The high-foam delivery format is the critical difference. Foam generated at the nozzle clings to walls, cage bars, and equipment faces, providing meaningful dwell time for the alkaline chemistry to saponify organic soils. By the time you rinse, the buildup has been broken down — not just moved around. And because one gallon of solution expands into approximately eight gallons of foam, a single container covers considerably more surface area than a conventional liquid spray — making it more cost-effective per application as well.

Handling Notes

Pri-Mate Safe Foam is a strong alkaline cleaner (pH >12.5). Use chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection, and appropriate respiratory protection for your facility conditions. Foam clings to cage bars, perches, slatted raised flooring, and feeders — providing the contact time needed to break down dried organic soiling and fecal matter that accumulates in primate caging.

Walls & Vertical Surfaces

Disinfection, using a product like Wex-Cide 128, then addresses the microbial load on a properly cleaned surface. Using a disinfectant on an uncleaned surface is significantly less effective.
